Hands up those who know what species this is. If it were in my backyard, it would be a Sparrowhawk....

True. The last one I saw was in my daughter's backyard in San Diego. I am still waiting to see Sharp-shinned.

Speaking of the Sharp-shinned devil - Mr H. has a nice piccy of one on his blog for 24/11, oops ... I mean 11/24.

He has a much nicer piccy of a Mountain Bluebird though.
