You remember my telling you about the Barn Owl box the size of a Welsh chapel and with a Swiss-style overhanging roof? Well, here it is, in its new home in the fork of an ancient pear tree. If I were a Barn Owl, I would take my shoes and socks off and LEAP into it.

That is a Stately Home for Barn owls. Hope to see pictures of them in residence soon (well, next year, I suppose.) Regards, Mike.
I think there is a good chance that it will be used this year. We have examp;les of boxes put up in April that are occupied by a breeding pair withing a week! Also, when first broods fail, the owls will try again in a different box....
