Indeed no. But as a compensation, I had two rather drab-looking Lesser Redpolls on one of the nyjer feeders yesterday afternoon.Also, on my way to Ely across Grunty Fen, I spotted a Little Egret on the bank of a roadside dyke. Pure white in the grey gloom of a fen January. A gorgeous sight, and no VAT to pay for the privilege of seeing it.
